For more than a decade the extreme Democratic and liberal leaders aided by the liberal media have made disrespect for the rule of law, civility, freedom of religious beliefs and political choice the rallying points for their supporters. The multiple agreements in the past that provided amnesty have not stopped the many serious problems of illegal immigration. The unwillingness to accept the rule of law and distinguish legal immigration from illegal immigration has been the crux of the problem.

The U.S. still welcomes those seeking eventual citizenship and asylum when they proceed through the proper channels. Why do the Democrats and liberals insist on giving everyone anything they want when it serves their political playbook, but deny people their religious beliefs and political choice? Even knowing its July 2 front cover was not factual, Time Magazine defended its decision to print a photo of a child represented as being separated from her family.

The ultimate low point is the push by Democratic and liberal leaders to attack those who carry out their duties as part of President Donald Trump’s administration and the unrelenting attacks on Trump’s family members. Democrats and Republicans should support the rule of law, civility and freedom of religious beliefs and political choice.

We need all of the essential elements to have full border security, enforcement of immigration laws, worker verification and a system to provide work permits where it is necessary. If human dignity and freedom are to be restored, the U.S. needs willing partners, including the United Nations, to end the brutal dictatorships, drug cartels, corrupt police and gangs in Central America and other areas that pose major threats to their citizens.
