Reader Richard Neal complains of a “continuing barrage of lies that emanate from the bunker on Pennsylvania Avenue" (“Columnist adding fuel to acrimony of politics,” Letters, Feb. 8).

His problem is that he can’t tell the difference between a lie and an exaggeration. An exaggeration is “3 million voted illegally.” A lie is “If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.” Oh, also there are no bunkers on Pennsylvania Avenue. That’s not an exaggeration.
