Fiscal conservatives in our federal government ranks have gone remarkably silent during closed budget/tax reform discussions since the great usurping of benign American power. The good old days when we would hear yesteryear’s GOP tit-for-tatters rail against Mr. Obama’s crew over potentially increasing the national debt by even one penny via “balanced budgeting,” something American families everywhere need to do in order to remain solvent, appear gone. Evidently that’s not politically expedient when Republicans rule.
To justify alleged tax cuts for most Americans, congressional GOPers have tossed about unrealistic growth predictions having little basis in a reality where economic advancement is mismeasured (mostly via No. 45 himself) by the Dow or S and P. Even renegades Flake and Corker bought into the bitter tax reform and 2018 budget pills (revealing the hypocrisy where rhetoric and votes don’t match) destined to enrich the already wealthy far more than anyone else.
In a crumbling-infrastructure world where FEMA funding is cut while crises born of natural disasters erupt all over the American landscape, we’re instead throwing more money/military “support” to areas where few of us knew U.S. troops even existed (Niger).
Clearly Americans everywhere will soon witness our morally bankrupt (GOP) “leaders” regaling one another in their haste to “make America grate again.”
