SOUTH CHATHAM - Priscilla “Sally” Swift - age 77 After a long illness fell asleep in death on Wed, Sept 26, 2018. She died at home surrounded by loved ones.

Born on Sept 3, 1941 in Brattleboro, VT, to James R. Howe and Verna M. (Bowker) Howe. After graduating from Brattleboro Union High School in 1959, Sally attended Concord School of Nursing in Concord, NH from 1959-1960 for six months. Eventually settling on Cape Cod, MA, Sally enjoyed homemaking, caring for a large family, gardening, camping, and picking blueberries.

As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, her number one joy was her volunteer work in the ministry, sharing good news to others of the hope for the future, which she held true.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Byron C. Swift Jr; her brother James Howe of Brattleboro, VT; and her brother Philip (Butch) Howe and sister-in-law Andrea of Marlboro, VT. She is predeceased by her sister Sondra J. Rice. She is also survived by her children, Michael Swift from Temecula, CA; Jeffrey Swift and daughter-in-law Sarita from Fairhaven, MA; James Swift from Dayton, TX; Leonard Swift and daughter-in-law Rosie from Hyannis, MA; Peter Swift from S. Chatham, MA; and Jennifer (Swift) Dillree and son-in-law Brian from E. Harwich, MA. Grandchildren, Lara Jenkins, Janelle Donovan, Jesse Swift, Angela Swift, Orry Swift, Samantha Swift, Luana Fernandes, and Kyle Cochran. Lastly, 4 great grandchildren, many cousins, nieces and nephews and dear friends.

A memorial celebration of her life will be held at the Eastham Kingdom Hall, 55 Governor Prence Rd, Eastham, MA on Saturday, Oct 20 at 2 pm.
