LA FARGE, WI - William Lawrence Bergeron, 56, of La Farge, WI, died Friday, September 23, 2016 at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, WI after a brief, but hard fought battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Bill was born August 12, 1960 on Cape Cod, MA to Roland and Ellenore (Crean) Bergeron. He graduated from Harwich High School in Harwich, MA and continued his education at Cape Cod Community College in Barnstable, MA. He spent over 40 years living and working on Cape Cod. He was a co-owner of a successful houselifting business and General Contractor.

Although their love for the ocean was great, he and his longtime partner, Beverly moved to Wisconsin where he rediscovered his passion for hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. Even though his love for the outdoors brought him to Wisconsin a part of his heart remained in Massachusetts with his children, grandchild, extended family and friends.

Bill enjoyed traveling, music, sports especially his beloved Boston Red Sox. He was a compassionate and caring man.

Bill was an avid listener, conversationalist, always ready to help anyone at any time expecting nothing in return.

Bill is survived by his longtime partner, Beverly Sue Mittelstadt of 26 years; two children: Bradford Roland Bergeron of Harwich, MA, Jacquelyn Anne (Adam) Hutton of Harwich, MA; Stepson: Matthew Adam Mittelstadt of Dorchester, MA; sister: Beth Ellen Bergeron of Fairbanks, AK; grandson: Charles Douglas Hutton; and many other relatives and friends.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at the Seland Huston Funeral Home in La Farge, WI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at the Seland Huston Funeral Home.

A memorial service will also be held at Cape Cod, Massachusetts at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials in Bill’s name be made to the Leukemia Society. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
