The final installment of the Avengers franchise is coming.

Marvel released the trailer for for Avengers: Endgame Thursday, providing a sneak peek of the way the Avengers story will end.

The trailer starts with Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr., adrift in space with no hope of rescue. Then we see Thanos armor and presumably Thanos himself, as we hear Black Widow (Scarlett Johannson) saying that the villain did exactly what he said he was going to do -- he wiped out half of all life on Earth.

We see Captain America (Chris Evans) react to the news, and Bruce Banner a.k.a. the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) looks at pictures of Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Black Panther TChallas sister Shuri (Letitia Wright) and Peter Parker, a.k.a. Spider-Man (Tom Holland), all presumed dead -- though Ant-Man shows up at the end of the trailer, to Black Widow and Captain Americas surprise.

Thor (Chris Hemsworth) appears in the trailer, looking wistful, followed by Nebula on a ship, mourning the Guardians of the Galaxy who disappeared in the previous film, as Captain America says, We lost friends. We lost family.

We see Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, meeting up with Black Widow, then Captain America looks at a picture of his former love, and Black Widow tells him, This is gonna work, Steve. What will work? Well have to wait until May 2019 to find out.
