(July 13, 2018) The Steamship Authority's high-speed ferry Iyanough is running on three of four engines today, putting it about a half-hour behind schedule, boat line officials said.

"A minor fuel leak was discovered on the number-three engine this morning. The U.S. Coast Guard has allowed the M/V Iyanough to operate on only three engines today. Operating on only three engines means the vessel runs a little slower, however it is expected that combined with quick turnarounds the vessel should operate 30 minutes late or less throughout the day. It is expected that the leak will be repaired at the end of the operating schedule this evening," SSA board chairman Rob Ranney said.

"The decision to run late as opposed to canceling trips was made in the best interest of the traveling public," he said.
