HARWICH — A Hyannis woman was brought to Cape Cod Hospital after her car was hit by a truck as she pulled on to Route 28 Tuesday afternoon, according to Harwich police.

Lyric Wallace, 18, of Hyannis, was the driver and sole occupant of a Honda Civic that pulled out of a driveway on to the highway at about 2:15 p.m, according to Sgt. Aram Goshgarian. Wallace failed to yield, and a truck traveling in the westbound lane struck her car, Goshgarian said.

The Harwich Fire Department brought Wallace to the hospital, where she was treated and released, according to hospital spokeswoman Robin Lord.

No charges have been filed, Goshgarian said.
