CENTERVILLE — Barnstable police responded to a residence on Indian Trail on Monday night after a car owner allegedly pulled a gun on a repossession agent, according to police Sgt. Eric Drifmeyer.

An employee of United Auto Recovery went to the residence at around 7:15 p.m to repossess a vehicle, Drifmeyer said. The owner of the vehicle confronted the employee and displayed a gun.

Police recovered a 9 mm firearm from the vehicle owner, Drifmeyer said.

The incident is under investigation, he said. Drifmeyer declined to identify the vehicle owner because it is unclear if charges will be filed, he said.
