(Sept. 13, 2018) Donick Cary’s charity Musack, which began by providing acoustic guitars to Nantucket High School a decade ago, has grown into an organization that provides instruments and scholarship funding to hundreds of children, from fiddles in Appalachia to keyboards in Haiti.

This Saturday, comedian Tig Notaro will be on Nantucket for a comedy show at the Dreamland to raise money for Musack as it celebrates its 10th anniversary.

“She’s like a legend in the comedy world, but also very outspoken. She treads into areas that other comedians don’t think are safe,” said Cary, a Nantucket High School graduate and comedy writer who has written for and produced shows like “Late Night with David Letterman,” “The Simpsons” and “Parks and Recreation.”

Tig Notaro, 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, Dreamland Theater, 17 South Water St. www.nantucketdreamland.org
