The Cape Cod Foundation has been selected to administer the new Cape Cod Healthcare Nurse Continuing Education Fund, according to a statement from the foundation.
The fund, which was established to advance education and promote the provision of health care to the Cape Cod community, will award grants to eligible nurses employed by nonprofit health care providers within Barnstable County.
Each eligible applicant will receive a $10,000 grant paid over three years. To be eligible, individuals must have received an associate of science in nursing degree from Cape Cod Community College with a minimum GPA of 2.75; have received a bachelor of science in nursing degree from the University of Massachusetts Boston with a minimum GPA of 3.0; be employed by a nonprofit health care provider with a principal place of business in Barnstable County and be a resident of Barnstable County.
